Story One (authors: Terry, Pat and Fanny)
A young guy fell in love with a girl. He invented (1) a solution to how to tell her about it. While he was giving a speech she was tying (2) her shoelaces. She suddenly realized (3) that he’s trying to flirt (4) with her. She had another boyfriend. Unfortunately she decided to extinguish (5) the fire of love and cancelled (6) that speech.

1-dreamt up; 2-doing up; 3-It suddenly dawned on her; 4-to chat her up; 5-to put the fire of love out; 6-called that speech off.
Story Two (authors: Jane, Olaf, Vladimir and Kit)
This story began (1) long time ago. There were two brothers, Mark and Peter. Mark was just like (2) his mother, kind and honest. Peter, on the contrary, was cruel. He definitely symbolized (3) Devil. Once, Mark didn’t agree (4) with Peter and thought (5) of an idea of killing him. The police tried to investigate (6) the accident, but it was too difficult. Peter put the body in a haystack. This story divided (7) the family forever and ever.
1-launched into; 2-took after; 3-stood for; 4-hold with; 5-hit on; 6-to look into; 7-came between.
