Второй этап цикла Audi MedCup 2009 - регата Marseille Trophy

Новый набор "Осень-2009" в Самаре состоится только в сентябре, а значит у нас есть некоторое время для интересных историй

On the 14th of June, Marseille receives the Adi MedCup Circuit. This Circuit is a series of five regattas of five days in four countries (Spain, France, Italy, Portugal) throughout five months.


For the first time since the Circuit started in 2005, it features two fleets racing in the same race course: the TP52 Series and the GP42 Series.

The 2009 Audi MedCup Circuit started May 12 in Alicante (Spain) and will finish September 19 in Cartagena (Spain). Each of the five regattas stand alone as a separate regatta event, a regional or national focus, but winning the Circuit is about scoring best over all five regattas.
The Audi MedCup Circuit represents the top of the sport today and attracts the very best designers, sailors and technicians. The cross section of sailors joining the Audi MedCup every season is remarkable, including Olympic winners and medalists, round the world sailors, world champions and America's Cup sailors. From my conversations with Russian Sailors I found out that they got the 7th place out of the 11 possible ones. But, as I told U, the best professionals from every single corner of the world sail or have sailed in the Audi MedCup Circuit, so, anyway, it's a remarkable step for our guys!
